The myth of the Green Man is something we use a lot with school groups, whether looking at the seasons or for adding something mystical to a Forest School day. So we were very keen when Liz Gill, one of the Harehope Quarry Project coop members, suggested we did a clay day and make pottery green men. Nine of us spent the day nurturing our pieces of clay into green men. Here are two completed ones below. It would be great to get a community arts project going as part of an pottery course.
