Next Thursday, 10th October, is World Mental Health Day, when we can all come together to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters. Enabled by funding from the Weardale Area Action Partnership, the Double U project at Harehope Quarry has been running activities to engage people with the natural environment and encourage the use of natural materials through craft workshops to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.
On 10 October we are inviting you to drop-in to The Workshop at Harehope Quarry any time between 1.00pm and 3.00pm, to hear about the work we have been doing and see a whittling workshop in action. Share your ideas for future sessions to support positive wellbeing over a cuppa.
The Worksop is at the far end of Harehope Quarry. Park in the car park at the entrance and follow the track passed the classroom for about 200m. The Workshop is at the end of the track.
